I take a math class, and I've been failing a lot. My mom and I went to the school administrator to ask for use of a calculator for taking tests. The person said I can't use a calculator on tests. I would do better on tests if I had a calculator. Is it my fault or the school's that I am failing math class?

Okay, so my science teacher is very sloppy. He has a very unorginized way of teaching and he loses many papers. I have turned in almost every assignment. When i say almost, there is 1 that i missed. It was a small 10 point assignment out of a total of 1,000 points in the quater. I am currently failing this class and I am the captain of my lacrosse team. If i fail this class I cannot play lacrosse. My parents are driving me insane trying to get my grades up. Is it my fault im faili...

Last year in college, I was part of a group of three with a 15-page paper to write for an Honors English class. The paper was worth 20% of our final grade. I wrote my 5 pages and sent it over to the group leader. The 2nd person in the group did the same. The group leader only wrote 4 pages, put it all together, and handed it in. We all got 0 points because we didn't meet the minimum length requirement.

I slogged my guts out in a group for a novel-writing competition with 3 other people. One of the guys started complaining about how nobody gave him so much work to do. So we gave him the job of of arranging our final work and guess what? He arranged it wrongly. Worse still, he handed it up and we lost. We confronted him and he started blaming US for shirking responsibility. Then he badmouthed us. Was it my fault we lost?

I just moved back to school yesterday and my roommate didn't move back until today. She is pissed because I put my bed in front of the window. This is our third year as roommates and her bed has always been in front of the window. I told her it's my turn but she insists it's "her spot."

I am an elementary school teacher, and one of my students always arrives 5-10 minutes late. I have asked the student's parent several times to try to get him to school on time, but the problem persists. I know it is not the child's fault, but I think my only remaining option is to make the tardiness show in the student's grades. Is it wrong of me to punish the student for his parent's bad habit?
